YEAR ROUND TRIPS
CENTRAL APPALACHIA, Central Appalachia, **, US

Location for this trip is to be determined but will be within Central Appalachia. Likely locations include:

-Jonesville in Southwest Virginia (ASP owned facility) OR

-The Tri-Cities in Northeast Tennessee (leased facility - amenities vary and air mattresses may be required)

FEES AND PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Cost is $70 per person per day

  • $95 Group Registration Fee due with registration 
  • Within 30 days of registration - $50 per person due
  • 90 days from your trip date - Group Count Commitment form due
  • 90 days from your trip date - 60% of remaining balance per person due
  • 30 days from your trip date - Final balance per person due.
     

ARRIVAL DAYS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

COLLEGE TRIPS - SPRING BREAK - All groups work for 5 days.  Arrive on Sunday, work Monday through Friday, departing Saturday.

Year-Round Program - September thru February and April thru May   
In May 2015, ASP made the decision to change the arrival schedule at each of our year round centers, effective September 1, 2015, for all year round trips. For each “Week of” trip, groups will plan to arrive either on that Sunday, working for 2-5 days, OR on that Thursday, working for 2 days. Occasionally, each center will offer a ‘Weekend Only” trip for just 2 days with Thursday arrivals only. This rotation with the abbreviated week for each center is intended to allow for staff recovery and project reset. Year-round center trips from September thru May are posted on the ASP web site as “Week of ….” Or “Weekend Only” so that groups are able to distinguish between the two options. For trips that say "Week of," you are able to choose Sunday arrival or Thursday arrival within that week (during the registration process). 

 

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

Groups are predominately all-adult or college, but these trips are also open to intergenerational and high school groups (volunteers must be 13+ AND completed 8th grade). Junior high and middle school groups are accepted on a case by case basis (volunteers must be 11+ AND completed 6th grade). 
 

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR GROUP:

  • Select your trip week and click REGISTER
  • Complete Previous Involvement page. Upper section if returning. Lower section if new; Then click NEXT
  • If new, create your user name and password , then click NEXT
  • Enter personal contact information, then CREATE ACCOUNT
  • Reserve space for your group - indicate your team size, then CREATE NEW GROUP
  • Enter your group information and follow remaining steps to completion.
  • Group Code is assigned.
  • Receive email confirmation with Group Code, User id, and Password
  • Provide Group Code to all team members
